Benenden Village Hall now has standard rates for hiring the hall with discounts available for parish residents and regular hirers.

Hire Charges with Effect from 1st April 2024

Changing Rooms

The two changing rooms with electric showers and adjacent toilets, are located in the corridor to the rear of the main hall stage. There is direct access onto either side of the stage from the changing room area. The changing rooms also have separate access for use by persons using the recreation field.

Use of the changing rooms is included with hire of the entire venue.

Other Equipment

Benenden Village Hall has an extensive range of equipment that hirers are welcome to use when hiring the venue including;

  • Projector Screens
  • Whiteboards
  • Flipchart Stand
  • Kitchen Items (oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, pots & pans, utensils, crockery, glassware, cutlery, plastics, etc.)

Payment / Deposits

  • Hirers are strongly advised to arrange insurance cover for the period of hire to meet any claims for which they may be held liable.
  • A non-returnable booking deposit of £50.00 is required for bookings over £50.00.
  • For bookings of £50.00 or under, payment in full will be required after booking upon receipt of the invoice.
  • Full payment is required not less than two weeks before the event. 
  • A returnable deposit against damage / cleaning may be required for some events at the discretion of the hall manager.

 

If a damage deposit is required, this must be paid prior to the event by bank transfer, with a separate undated cheque made payable to ‘Benenden Village Hall’ or with cash. This will be refunded / returned on the provision that no damage has been caused and the venue is left clean and tidy after the event.

Benenden Village Hall has a Buffalo 3kW 10 Litre Auto-Fill Water Boiler.

The boiler usually takes 15-20 minutes to reach ‘ready’ state.

Stage Lighting

The stage lighting is controlled by an ETC ColorSource 40 lighting console.

Hearing Loop

The sound system in the main hall incorporates a PDA Range 500/2 Induction Loop Amplifier.

Main Hall Projector

The main hall has a projector mounted on the lighting bar in front of the stage. The projector is an NEC VT670 projector and is operated by a remote control.

The projector has two inputs, a VGA input with an HDMI adapter for use with a laptop; and a video input with an RCA plug (yellow) which can be used with the hall’s DVD player.

Sound System

The main hall is equipped with a sound system and speakers for playing music (recorded or live) and/or using with microphones.

The system is controlled by a Soundcraft Spirit E8 10-channel mixer (8 mono mic/line , 2 stereo line inputs).
