The Main Hall Stage is available for use by hirers of the Main Hall. The stage is raised 1m from the hall floor and measures 6m across (not including the stage wings) and is 5m deep. The stage has numerous sets of curtains and can be used for both amateur and professional performances and is used throughout the year for shows and pantomimes. PLEASE NOTE: The main hall stage is extended by a further 1.25 metres across the full width of the hall during the pantomime season in January each year.
The Main Hall is equipped with a sound system for playing music or using with microphones. The sound system and/or microphones can be hired for use at an additional cost. Professional stage lighting is also available and may be hired for use by competent / experienced persons. The curtains are manually operated to provide maximum control / flexibility. The stage can be accessed by removable steps in the main hall that can be mounted to the left or right of the stage or, during a performance, by doors on both sides at the rear of the stage from the corridor where changing rooms and toilets, for use by performers, are available. Access can also be gained to the stage area from the communal lobby if required.
The hall’s motorised projector screens are located on the main hall stage for use with the hall’s projector. The projector screens are available to hire at an additional cost and can be used by hirers with their own projector or equipment. See the equipment section for further details.
The kitchen is well stocked with a selection of different crockery including cups, saucers, bowls & plates.

Hearing Loop
The sound system in the main hall incorporates a PDA Range 500/2 Induction Loop Amplifier.
Main Hall Projector
The main hall has a projector mounted on the lighting bar in front of the stage. The projector is an NEC VT670 projector and is operated by a remote control.
The projector has two inputs, a VGA input with an HDMI adapter for use with a laptop; and a video input with an RCA plug (yellow) which can be used with the hall’s DVD player.
Sound System
The main hall is equipped with a sound system and speakers for playing music (recorded or live) and/or using with microphones.
The system is controlled by a Soundcraft Spirit E8 10-channel mixer (8 mono mic/line , 2 stereo line inputs).
