We have a supply of folding tables (16, large, 16 medium and 9 small) that hirers are welcome to use. Trolleys are provided for moving tables.

Large Round Table
Large Round Tables & Tablecloths
The main hall has a supply of 12 large round foldable tables (plus a spare). These tables are more suitable for formal ‘sit down’ functions such as weddings and fund-raising events and seat 8 to 10 people. Approx. Diameter = 184 cm (6 feet), Height = 73 cm.
White linen tablecloths to fit the large round tables are available to hire at a cost of £8.50 each.

Chairs
Both halls have a supply of banquet style chairs (approx. 200 in total) that hirers are welcome to use.
Please Note: Benenden Village Hall does not have any children’s high chairs for hirers to use.
There is a portable flip-chart stand / whiteboard (65 x 90 cm) with extendable legs that hirers are welcome to use for meetings / classes.
The whiteboard uses ‘dry-wipe’ pens which hirers will need to provide. Hirers will also need to provide any flip-charts they wish to use.
There are two matching bars which hirers are welcome to use.
The large bar measures 245 (length) x 58 (depth) x 107 cm (height), the small bar measures 126 (length) x 58 (depth) x 107 cm (height).

Entertainment Equipment
The main hall has a selection of entertainment equipment that can be hired as a package.
Sound System
The main hall is equipped with a four-speaker sound system comprising of a CD player, cassette decks and audio input for use with mobile phones / devices, musical instruments and microphones.
Microphone and Pre-Amp
There are a number of wireless handheld microphones that can be hired for use with the sound system for the main hall including a lapel microphone and a headset microphone.
Rotating Glitter Ball
The remote-controlled motorised rotating glitter ball and spotlight create a classic disco effect for your event.
Disco Lights
There is a pair of portable mains-operated disco lights which can be used to flash independently or in time with music.
The main hall’s sound system incorporates a hearing loop.
A hearing loop (sometimes called an audio induction loop) is a special type of sound system for use by people with hearing aids. The hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to ‘T’ (Telecoil) setting.
Main Hall Projector Screen
Both halls are equipped with motorised projector screens which can be used for lectures, meeting and presentations.
The projector screens can also be used with hirer’s own equipment or projectors can be hired for use in either hall.
Small Hall / Meeting Room
Stage Lighting
The main hall is equipped with professional stage lighting which can be hired for use by competent / experienced operators.
The lighting bar is height adjustable and is approx. 5 metres from the floor (11.8 metres from the back wall).
Basic first aid kits are located in the communal kitchen and the Community Office at Benenden Village Hall.
The nearest defibrillator is located at Wheelwrights House on the village green in Benenden (TN17 4DJ).
Wi-fi is available throughout the building for use by hirers and users of Benenden Village Hall. The password is available on request.
The kitchen is well stocked with a selection of different crockery including cups, saucers, bowls & plates.

Hearing Loop
The sound system in the main hall incorporates a PDA Range 500/2 Induction Loop Amplifier.
Main Hall Projector
The main hall has a projector mounted on the lighting bar in front of the stage. The projector is an NEC VT670 projector and is operated by a remote control.
The projector has two inputs, a VGA input with an HDMI adapter for use with a laptop; and a video input with an RCA plug (yellow) which can be used with the hall’s DVD player.
Sound System
The main hall is equipped with a sound system and speakers for playing music (recorded or live) and/or using with microphones.
The system is controlled by a Soundcraft Spirit E8 10-channel mixer (8 mono mic/line , 2 stereo line inputs).
