Wedding Receptions, Parties & Formal Functions

With its Premises Licence and rural setting, Benenden Village Hall is the ideal venue for your wedding reception, party or formal function. The hall has a well equipped kitchen with serving hatches into both the main and small halls. There is room for up to 12 large round tables in the main hall seating up to 120 guests.

It is a versatile venue and there are companies that can dress the venue to suit your different themes, colour schemes and purposes with fabric linings, tablecloths and chair covers.

The main entrance to the hall can also be transformed to suit your needs.

Benenden Village Hall is only a short walk from St. George’s Church and has ample free parking for your guests. For large events, consideration may be given to using the recreation field for additional parking. This is by arrangement only. The main hall is equipped with a sound system with microphones for the speeches.

The recreation field, located next to the hall, can also be used as additional outside space for a marquee or may be a bouncy castle for the children. There is also a popular children’s play area at the top of the recreations field.

For the evening, tables can be cleared away to make space for dancing. The hall is equipped with a sound system for music and the main hall stage is ideal for a band playing live music or D.J.

A mobile or outside bar would also make a lovely addition to your reception or function with many companies offering some quirky alternatives to a traditional bar.

The small hall, with access directly from the kitchen, communal entrance and main hall, is perfect for setting up a buffet for your evening guests to enjoy.

Available dates for your wedding or formal function can be seen on the Benenden Village Hall Calendar but it is still worth contacting us if your chosen date is taken. Many of our regular hirers are flexible and able to accommodate occasional requests to vary the dates or times of their classes or events.

The photo gallery will give you an idea of some of the events that have taken place at Benenden Village Hall and the ways in which it has been transformed into the ideal venue. However, the best suggestion would be to visit the hall to be shown round and to discuss any ideas or requirements you may have with the hall manager.

Men in Red Toastmasters will help plan, coordinate and present any type of event, but it’s weddings we really enjoy. And, even if we do stand out from the crowd in the red coat, we never forget that the day is all about the couple.

We love the history, the pomp and the circumstance of our profession, and we will make sure that comes across. But, we also want everyone to ENJOY what we do at their event.

We won’t be dull. We won’t be disorderly. We will be Men in Red!
